Paint Lead - Twilight - 6 month FTC (secondment)

As we continue to elevate our capabilities and global presence, we are seeking a Paint Lead to join our dynamic Paint team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hethel.
We're looking for a motivated and hands-on Paint Lead to join our Body & Paint team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a manufacturing or automotive paint environment who is ready to lead by example, support a high-performing team, and help deliver world-class quality.
Working closely with the Production Supporter and Process Leader, you'll be responsible for leading a team of up to 10 people, ensuring safe working practices, maintaining production and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement across the area.
This role will be a 6 month secondment / FTC.
Twilight shift
What you'll be doing
Leading and supporting a team to achieve daily production and quality targets.
Promoting and maintaining a strong health and safety culture.
Ensuring documented processes and quality standards are consistently followed.
Providing clear direction, coaching and day-to-day support to team members.
Supporting attendance, performance and company policy processes.
Ensuring tooling, consumables and materials are available to keep production running.
Managing incoming and outgoing stock to support the production schedule.
Driving 5S and continuous improvement activities.
Responding to quality feedback and implementing corrective actions.
Working collaboratively with colleagues while remaining hands-on when required.
What we're looking for
Essential
Experience working within a manufacturing or automotive Body & Paint environment.
Previous experience leading or supporting a team.
Ability to read and follow written instructions and documented processes.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A proactive approach with the ability to work under time-sensitive production targets.
A flexible, reliable and enthusiastic attitude with a focus on quality and safety.
Desirable
City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent qualification in Automotive Body Repair, Paint or a related discipline.
Knowledge of automotive paint preparation techniques and materials.
Experience of continuous improvement or business improvement techniques.
Background within a production or assembly environment.

Salary for this role is - £33,600 + overtime potential + disturbance allowance.
