As we continue to elevate our capabilities and global presence, we are seeking a Production & Material Planner to join our dynamic Logistics & Planning team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Norwich.
Summary:
Ensure timely availability of production materials in line with production demands, create the production planning requirements, and process all relevant customer orders and schedules, and to expedite all necessary requirements from suppliers to support production and customer requirements. Support the day-to-day activity of the Planning Team.
What you'll do:
Validate and enter customer orders & schedules in line with business operating procedures.
Generate customer shipment documentation
Co-ordinate appropriate customer logistical requirements
Enter and maintain appropriate customer price lists and action Invoice approvals.
Act as customer liaison for production specific activities
Plan/schedule and generate associated purchase orders for materials required
Plan/schedule and generate associate manufacturing orders for products required
Support the Creation/issue production plan & manufacturing requirements
Expedite/de-expedite purchase and manufacturing schedules as required.
Run production & shortage reports to assist with planning activities.
Liaise with Lotus Lightweight Structures Anodising to maintain requirements.
Co-ordinate the disposition of goods to be “returned to vendors” and generate the relevant debit/credit notes.
Assist with Admin activities within the Planning Team
What you'll bring:
Essential:
Knowledge of industry standards and logistical processes.
MRP / ERP Competence.
Flexible and used to dealing with staff, suppliers and customers in a wide range of situations. Self motivated.
Manufacturing planning background and experience. Knowledge of the Automotive supply chain.
Good interpersonal skills. Good team skills. Proactive Analytical and problem solving skills Integrity, honesty, confidentiality
Good communication skills
Desirable:
Ideally 4th Shift & SAP MRP system knowledge.
Work well under pressure. Work with Microsoft Office packages. Knowledge of Lean Principles
Previous experience working within an Automotive / Aerospace environment
Personable and be able to build strong relationships. Team skills.
Work well as a team
