Industrial and Standardisation Engineer

As we continue to elevate our capabilities and global presence, we are seeking an Industrial and Standardisation Engineer to join our dynamic Manufacturing team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hethel.
Summary:
Responsible for time study, capacity planning, direct headcount planning and cost estimation across all areas of Manufacturing for current and new vehicle models.
The role ensures:
Accurate definition of Hours per Car
Optimised headcount and capacity planning
Robust manufacturing cost estimates for in-house parts and process changes
Continuous improvement of manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost The position is expected to be provide significant opportunity to influence both day-to-day manufacturing performance and future production strategy.
What you'll do:
Define and maintain standard times and Hours per Car for all production activities and vehicle models
Conduct time studies and validate production standards in collaboration with Production teams
Plan and forecast manufacturing capacity and headcount to meet current and future volume demands
Estimate manufacturing costs and assess the impact of design, process, and volume changes
Develop cost estimates and business cases for in-house parts, tooling, and process improvements
Design and optimise manufacturing layouts, material flow, and assembly sequences
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost
Support new model introductions, engineering changes, and cross-functional problem solving
Provide general Manufacturing Engineering support as required across the business
Define, implement, and maintain workstation standardisation, including standard work, layout, tooling, and material presentation to ensure consistency, efficiency, safety, and quality across manufacturing
areas.
Ensure factory stardardisation documentation is created and maintained throughout the production
facility, focusing on consistent application across all areas of the production operation.
Apply Lean manufacturing tools and data-driven problem-solving techniques to enhance continuous improvement, improve process stability, and drive sustainable gains in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
What you'll bring:
Essential Criteria:
HNC/ HND/ Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
Industrial Engineering experience
MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint & Project, use of process systems, logical thinker for problem solving and process planning.
Used to working in a production environment
Out-going, pro-active team player. Self motivated & driven to succeed.
Desirable Criteria:
Lean thinking or six sigma trained.
MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project & Access. Lotus PPDM, PSS & DRF systems Autocad / Catia or other cad package.
Very good working knowledge of niche vehicle & OEM automotive industries.

This role will be working from our Hethel plant within our flexible working policy
Candidates must be eligible to work in UK without VISA sponsorship.
