Head of Corporate Communication
Lotus Cars builds world-class, high-performance, and lightweight sports cars that are sold all around the world. Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here, we produce all sports car types such as the Emira and the Evija.
To bring the company to the level we aspire to, we are looking for a Head of Corporate Communication in the Corporate Office Department, based in our Coventry office.
Summary
What You'll Do
Stakeholder Communication
· Communicate with customers, partners, investors, government, and the public.
· Address concerns, answer questions, and provide consistent updates.
Reputation Management · Monitor social media and traditional media coverage to detect misinformation or escalating sentiment.
· Implement damage control strategies to minimise reputational harm.
· Collaborate with the Investor Relations and Legal teams to ensure communications are compliant and aligned.
Crisis Preparedness & Planning
· Develop and maintain a crisis communication plan.
· Create pre-approved messaging templates for likely scenarios.
· Conduct risk assessments and identify potential crisis triggers.
· Train company spokespeople and leadership on media response protocols.
· Assess situations quickly to understand the scope and potential impact.
· Serve as a central point of communication between leadership, legal, HR, and other stakeholders.
· Craft and deliver timely, accurate, and transparent public statements or press releases.
· Manage media inquiries and interviews.
· Ensure internal communication keeps employees informed and aligned.
· Draft and support dealer, supplier, government affairs, and shareholder communications to ensure information shared is consistent.
· Conduct post-crisis analysis.
· Revise crisis plans and improve protocols based on key learnings.
· Consult and advise on brand rebuilding through reputation recovery campaigns.
What You'll Bring
· Experience working within a Chinese organisation.
· Fluency in another European language or Mandarin.
· Ideally, experience in a luxury brand environment.
· A deep understanding of the importance of social media and influencer dynamics.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Additional Information
· This role is based in our Coventry office and requires a full-time on-site presence.
· Some weekend and after-hours work will be required. Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) will be offered (no overtime).
· Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
