Sales and Customer Executive
Lotus Cars builds world-class, high-performance and lightweight sports cars that are sold all around the world.
Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Sales and Customer Executive in the Corporate Office Department to join us in our manufacturing plant based in Hethel.
Summary:
- To be the cornerstone of the Lotus Evija Programme and the key interface between Customer, Dealer and Hethel.
- To ensure the Evija customers receive the highest level of knowledge and information during their purchasing journey, through handover and into ownership.
What you'll do:
Customer, Product and Market Insight
- Market knowledge of both Hypercars and the wider luxury segment.
- Product knowledge – in-depth product knowledge of the Lotus Evija and its wider competitive set.
- Customer knowledge – key understanding of the target market for the Lotus Evija, who they are, the life they lead and how they (and their wider team) expect to be treated and managed.
Budget and BPM Management
- Ownership of any new supplier set-up in line with agreed company process.
- Raising of POs for approval and subsequent invoice management.
- Upkeep of budget tracker file to ensure spend in line with target.
Event Support
- Product and Brand Ambassador for both Lotus and the Evija at key events in both the UK and abroad – working closely with the local regional teams.
On-site Event Management
- Ownership of all Evija customer and prospect visits to Hethel.
- Vehicle availability and preparation, Exec booking as required, factory tour and track booking.
Sales Funnel Tracking
- Ownership of the sales tracker that monitors ensure leads are properly recorded, and tracked either from central or regional activity.
- Know Your Customer (KYC) Management – upkeep and monitoring of KYC system to ensure customers are bona fide in their activities.
Deposit Tracking
- Raising of deposit invoices in line with agreed stage payments with customer.
- Key link to finance in the reporting of incoming monies received and subsequent updating of sales tracker.
Customer Specification Commissioning Management
Main link between LCL and Regional/Dealer sales contact during the Commissioning Process including:
- Lead times of Bespoke items (that may add to standard build time).
- Pricing.
- The sending of samples to customers.
- Liaison with Design in the creation and customer dispatch of any renders for customer sign-off as well as any supporting colour & trim documentation.
- Ownership of final specification approval document that captures all specification details for customer approval and sign-off.
Build Progress

On the ground liaison between Build Team, Design and Customer team to ensure build accuracy versus expected specification.
Image updates for customer as part of Keep Warm programme as required.
Supporting Build Documentation
- Ensuring all necessary paperwork travels with the car enroute to the customer.
- Quality sign-off.
- Transport documentation on behalf of customer.
- Final invoice for customs clearance.
Customer ‘Deal File’
- On-site ownership of all customer documentation in line with GDPR requirements.

Additional Information:
- This role will be working from our Hethel plant within our flexible working policy.
- This role will require a degree of international travel and the ability to change and adapt plans at short notice.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in UK without VISA sponsorship.
