Material Handling Process Specialist

Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Material Handling Process Specialist. in the Suppy Department to join us in our manufacturing plant based in Hethel.
Summary:
The Material Handling team are accountable for the management and physical movement of our direct material within our supply chain operations, including inbound 3PL activities for Group Lotus' Hethel based site
What you'll do :
- Review & monitor daily data outputs to identify trends, track performance and highlight master data errors, in order to improve delivery efficiency.
- Carry out root cause analysis on issues that result in downtime.
- Utilise LEAN techniques to identify waste within the material handling function.
- Support in the creation of standardised processes & work instructions to ensure the MH department have access to and are working to the latest revisions.
- Support the MH leadership team with the creation & delivery of overall material handling KPI’s.
- Act as a cross-functional stakeholder between material handling, operations, and supporting departments.
- Interact with supporting functions such as IT & Operation Excellence to assist with the training requirements, testing and implementation of new software and processes.
- Support with the development & roll out of visual management improvements linked to KPI measurements.
- Action purchase requests liked to departmental improvements.
- Alongside supply chain engineering, assist with developing warehouse/lineside layouts & identifying opportunities for packaging improvements.
Essential

- Critical thinker with good problem-solving skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Ability to constructively challenge and drive outcomes using data as basis for decisions
- Experience of SAP MM module and Logistics Execution Systems or similar warehouse systems

Additional Information:
- This role will be working from our Hethel plant within our flexible working policy
- Candidates must be eligible to work in UK without VISA sponsorship.
- This role will report to the Material Handling Manager we are looking for a detail-oriented Specialist to join our team who will be proficient in data analysis with an understanding of logistics processes, to enable the optimisation of material flows, generate warehouse processes, and carry out root cause analysis.
- Work Pattern: 38hrs / 4.5 day working week
