Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Yard Operative to join us in our manufacturing plant based in Hethel.

Summary:

Responsible for the despatching of vehicles to the Global dealer network via sea containers or enclosed transporters, responsible for auditing specification and completion of documentation associated with both type's of despatch.

To work closely with the Vehicle Logistics Controller, Manufacturing Staff and Head of Sales Operations. 

What you'll do:

• Take receipt of the vehicle once passed by production, monitor the movement while under the control of the Commercial department.
• Responsible for ensuring the vehicle has been built to the correct specification and the relevant documentation is in place prior to the despatch of the vehicle i.e. handbooks, tool kits, etc.
• Responsible for the loading and securing of vehicles that are shipped via 20ft and 40ft sea containers including racked containers when applicable.
• Responsible for the preparation of vehicles that are shipped via enclosed transporters.
  
• Control and maintain various files within the O:drive notably vehicles despatches.
• Liaise with Manufacturing and Quality with regards to any issues found on the vehicle prior to despatch.
• Stock management of vehicle handbooks for all shipments, plus straps that are required for vehicle shipments via containers. 
• Perform work in confined spaces while adhering to safety protocols. 

What you'll bring:

Essential:

• Methodical, good organisational skills, able to work on own initiative and in all weathers, plus adequate Microsoft software knowledge
• English and Maths
• Banksman, Dangerous Good certificate completion
• Full driving license

Desirable:

• Logistics experience

• Candidates must be eligible to work in UK without VISA sponsorship
