Senior Electrical Technician (Contractor)

Lotus Cars builds world-class, high-performance and lightweight sports cars that are sold all around the world. 

Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Senior Electrical Technician (Contractor) in the Electrical Architecture & Body Systems Department to join us in our manufacturing plant based in Hethel.

 

Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical rework, to support the Production, Prototype and Lab Cars development vehicles on various Lotus programmes; this includes fault finding and upgrading vehicle harnesses.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Fault identification and resolution, including the management of issues to closure.
  • Support the supplier or function owner to fix harness and wiring defect situations and join necessary discussions. 
  • Collaborative working with the EEI Project Leaders, to achieve good quality systems.
  • Regularly interact with the Principal Engineer - Integration and electrical project team.
  • Directly report to the Electrical Workshop Supervisor.


What You'll Bring:

  •  Wiring harness assembly experience, using hand tools & proper assembly techniques.
  • Quality validation of wire harness assemblies.
  • Full understanding of electrical schematics & circuit diagrams.
  • Experience in harness crimping, soldering and de-pinning.
  • Experienced in Vehicle PC diagnostic tools and Software updates.

 

Additional Information:

  • This role will be working from our Hethel plant.
  • This is a contracted, temporary role.
