Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Material Planner in the Supply Chain Department to join us in our manufacturing plant based in Hethel.
Summary:
This job advert is to express an interest in up-coming future Material Planner roles either at our site in Hethel. Norfolk OR Wellesbourne, Warwickshire
The role involves providing continuity of supply to the Production line, ensuring 100% parts availability to the published plan, whilst making sure it’s effective and efficient, within the agreed inventory constraints.
What you'll do:
- Occasionally travelling to visit suppliers off site.
- Scheduling the supply of components and materials, to meet production requirements.
- Assessing the volume requirements against future published production plans and reporting concerns.
- Monitoring and reacting to MRP Messages.
- Liaising with Suppliers to expedite deliveries, to meet the production requirements.
- Taking appropriate action to minimise shortages.
- Following up with suppliers, to ensure continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supporting the Inventory checks and reporting inaccuracies to the Perpetual Inventory Department.
- Supporting Accounts Payable with the resolution of invoice queries, relating to deliveries.
- Being prepared to co-ordinate and lead cross-departmental actions, to support the above objectives.
- Developing strong relationships with suppliers.
- Working with other departments, such as, Production, Internal Logistics, Accounts and Finance, Quality and Engineering.
What you'll bring:
Essential:
- Diploma or equivalent, preferably with CIPS qualification.
- PC Literate, with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel experience.
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Targets focused and able to work to deadlines.
- Organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
- Operational Management Level 3.

- This role will be working from our Hethel plant within our flexible working policy
