Automotive Training Supervisor

Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Automotive Training Supervisor join us at our Norwich site.
Summary:
As an Automotive Training Supervisor, your role involves overseeing and guiding a team of Learning Academy trainers. Responsibilities include providing technical expertise, coaching team members to enhance their skills, ensuring quality workmanship, and coordinating workflow to meet deadlines. Additionally, you will be involved in training programs, performance evaluations, and implementing safety protocols. Effective communication with both team members and management is crucial to ensure smooth operations and high-quality services to Lotus Global. Collaborating with other departments, implementing policies, and maintaining a positive work environment are key aspects of the role. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills are essential for success in this position.
What you'll do:
Aligned with the growing responsibilities of the training team you will be expected to be a point of contact for support in the areas of:
- Quality
- Progression assessments (Namely Team leader & supervisor)
- Budget monitoring and expenditure
- Assessment days for new operations staff
- Inductions for operations staff
- Operations fundamentals
- Design and delivery of training programmes inline with the LLA calendar
- Delivery of all LLA projects in line with PMO office and internal projects
- Welcome and guide all external guests in line with Lotus behaviours ROAD (Respect, One Team, Ambition, Drive) to ensure visits onsite meet project/meeting objectives.
- Internal audits in line with ISO standards
- Operations consultation including build hall support through line-side deployment
- Run academy events and support to close down any stoppages
- Maintain outreach programmes
- Building and facility maintenance and upgrades

- Coaching & Mentoring experience
Desirable
- ISO experience
- Formal training qualification
- Experience in automotive manufacturing
- Understanding of Lean working principles

- This role will be based at our Norwich site within our flexible working policy.
