Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Engineer Engineer in the Operational Excellence Department to join us in our manufacturing plant based in Hethel.
Summary:
The Supply Chain Engineering (SCE) team are responsible for the planning, implementation and management of our direct material supply chain operations, in order to maximize end to end supply chain efficiency.
We are looking for a proven and credible Senior Supply Chain Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be proficient in turning data analysis into strategies and solutions, have a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and related supply chains, be familiar with industrial logistics systems and automation and be a pragmatic and delivery focused team player.
What You'll Do:
Planning & Project Management:
- Responsible for the accuracy and control of Plan For Every Part (PFEP) master data;
- Input into and translate corporate-level supply chain strategies into facility and operation specific solutions;
- Build, validate and agree cross functionally Total Acquisition Cost (TCA) focused business cases;
- Lead solution design considerations during the supplier and supplier re-sourcing processes
- Represent SCE functions in NPI forums and gateway events;
- Work in conjunction with procurement and programme teams, to proactively identify and address supply chain risks and drive continuous improvement/cost reduction activities;
- Lead cost and scenario analysis and develop robust business cases and execution plans for review, including reporting dashboard development;
- Identify process bottlenecks and lead solutions for improvement, in conjunction with stakeholders;
Solution Design & Configuration:
- Use PFEP A to B material master data, develop efficient warehouse layouts together with local Material Handling, Facilities and HSE teams;
- Use PFEP B to C master data, lead efficient lineside, sub assembly and sequencing area layouts and process solutions, to support the efficient delivery to line and efficiently of replenishment;
- Ensure and own data and system alignment between Lotus and 3PL partners;
Packaging & Containerisation:
- Responsible for leading and delivering the Lotus Vendor Packaging Method LVPM process, in conjunction with internal (Purchasing and SQA) and external stakeholders (supply base and 3PL’s) in order to populate PFEP master data;
- Lead the development of packaging standards;
- Lead all required legislative reporting requirements and submissions;
- Scout, appoint (in conjunction with procurement team) and manage third party packaging suppliers, to provide bespoke packaging;
- Develop and implement performance metrics for Packaging deliverables;
Change Management:
- Ensure the successful onboarding of new suppliers and respective supply chain solutions;
- Approve the Design Change Control of part changes/introductions after assessing the supply chain and material handling and process impacts;
- Develop and continuously improve change control processes and reporting;
- Manage the origination and execution of a funnel of strategies and tactics opportunities to reduce costs

- Experienced and accomplished stakeholder management and collaboration mindset.
- Ability to constructively challenge and drive outcomes using data.
- Manufacturing and industrial logistics experience.
- End to end business systems experience.

Additional Information:
- This role will be working from our Hethel plant, within our flexible working policy.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in UK without VISA sponsorship.
