Senior Infrastructure Engineer Linux DevOps

Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer Linux DevOps in the IT Department to join us in our manufacturing plant based in Hethel.
Summary:
The Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer Linux DevOps reports to the Principal Infrastructure Engineer – Linux DevOps team and the primary responsibility of the Senior Infrastructure Engineer Linux DevOps, is to maintain the integrity of the Lotus Linux IT enterprise architecture with technical solutions by way of governance and change management, and to provide support of the deployed solutions, and future developments for Lotus. Provides support and assistance to other subject matter experts within the infrastructure team. The role will also include providing third line support of the IT Infrastructure estate and applications supported by the IT Infrastructure team.
What you'll do:
- To develop, provide input to and deliver the Lotus strategy for all IT Infrastructure and core systems within Lotus as it embarks on a significant period of growth and utilisation of advanced technology solutions. Providing third line support for the internal environment.
- To act in a supporting role to technology Subject Matter Experts within the Infrastructure team.
- This role is a key member of the IT technical team for Lotus and point of contact within the Geely organisation.
- This role enables involvement in presentations and meetings with Senior management positions.
- Ability to deliver technical solutions and systems in business language.
- Regular technical review of system performance and availability.
- Detailed understanding of Linux Infrastructure systems, technology, management tools and core open-source applications, to enable innovative use and progressive improvements of performance and functionality.
What you'll bring:
Essential
- Linux Administrator with DevOps CI/CD.
- Wide experience in administering IT systems, providing 3rd line support, within medium/large environments.
- Experience with dealing with outsourcing partners and multiple specialist support organisations.
- Advanced Linux Security knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Source control (GIT).
- Infrastructure as Code (Puppet).
- SSL and Proxy SSL knowledge.
- Analytical, with good communications skills with all levels of the business.
- Self-starter.
- Problem-solving following best practices at all times.
Desirable
- BSc Degree or Equivalent computer studies.
- Professional IT qualification.
- ITIL v3 foundation qualification.
- Oracle Database administration experience.
- RHEL/Debian, Bash, YAML/JSON.
- Configuring and supporting services such as NGINX, supervisord, RabbitMQ, Jenkins.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Capable organiser and presentation skills experience.

Additional Information:
- This role will be working from our Hethel plant within our flexible working policy.
- Hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days on-site in Hethel.
- In-frequent UK travel.
- On call rota participation.
- Out of hours working to maintain system / upgrades.
