Process Leader

Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Process Leader in the Manufacturing department to join us in our manufacturing plant based in Hethel.
Summary:
As a Process Leader with USLOT, you will oversee and lead a team within production to produce components and assemblies while adhering to Safety and Quality standards.
Your role is critical in delivering the production plan on time and within budget while driving continuous improvement, influencing a positive team culture, and maintaining adherence to the Lotus culture and behaviours.

What you'll do:
Identify and implement improvement opportunities in production processes
Effectively and efficiently manage the production of the required volume targets in line with customer requirements, adhering to all Safety, Quality and
Delivery expectations. Minimize costs and ensure expected behaviours are always maintained.
Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions.
Produce written reports and make presentations.
Perform and lead problem resolution.
Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required.
Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the process area.
One Team
Ensure that the function operates in accordance with all applicable SHE policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.
Communicate and liaise with other managers within the supporting structure to ensure production targets are met.
Ambition
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
Achieve budget and forecast for process area
Control consumable costs – scrap/quality
Manage and control total cost of quality for the process area by tracking and reacting to rework costs caused by DpV.
Undertake continuous training and development.
Drive
Lead incident investigations, process improvements, and manage staffing
Lead the Shell 2 problem resolution team.
Implement the company’s People Strategy by managing staffing levels, holidays, attendance, recruitment, and team discipline.
Coach and develop a high-performing team, driving operational success and Lotus way behaviours.
Motivate and coach the team to operational success, providing technical guidanc
Consistently promote high standards through personal example, drive Lotus way behaviours so each team member understands the standards expected of them.

Significant proven management experience in manufacturing, automotive or production
Extensive Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, techniques and understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Kaizen, lean manufacturing
Understanding of extended processes outside of Production such as Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
Desirable:
Degree in manufacturing/engineering is preferred, or equivalent qualifications such as: HND, BTEC Professional Level 5, Award NVQ Level 5 qualifications
