The Production Quality team sits within a larger Quality organisation, we have a total of 11 people, 9 inspectors, 1 Team Leader and a Production Quality Manager. The team preparing for growth for new future model launches.
The team is based at Hethel with the main assembly factory but supports the whole of Hethel production.
We ensure the highest vehicle quality reaches our customer with a vision to improve customer satisfaction by improving vehicle quality.
What we do
Production Quality Assurance is integrated into the Production Process. We ensure our cars complies to the quality standards, so meeting the need of our customers.
Our role is to prevent mistakes and defects on our product from getting to the customer, ensuring the vehicles are fit for purpose and Right First Time (RFT).
This is performed by various inspections and performance testing of the vehicle at multiple stages within the production system.
The function of the Production Quality Assurance team is created around a DMAIC process; Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control.
Our aim is to shift left from defect detection and rejection to defect prevention by focusing on quality at earlier points within the process.
